At 15:46 Frederick County ECC dispatched A169 and B116(Walkersville) to 10229 Woodsboro Pike for an injured person from a fall of a horse and needing a 4 wheel drive vehicle. A169 and C11 arrived on scene and began to gather information of the location of the patient. B116 and C16 arrived on scene and C16 established command. Soon later it was determined that the patient was now located back in the woods were no vehicle could get to the patient and so C16 requested an ATV. ATV24 was not going to be in service until 0700 hrs. Monday morning but was available so C24 called ECC and placed ATV24 in service. ATV24 and U24 responded with 5 personnel. ATV24 and U24 arrived on scene, C11 then directed ATV24 the a homeowner will show them the path to C16 and A169 crew that was with the patient. ATV24 arrived at patient location and the patient was packaged and placed into the stokes basket on ATV24 and was then brought out of the woods and was then transferred over to A169. Patient was then transported to FMH and units went in service.
