At 17:35 hrs. Co.24 & 11 were dispatched for a house fire at 8049 Chestnut Grove RD. Carroll County LT 10-1 arrived on scene with smoke showing from the roof and requested the RIT assignment. RE153 arrived on scene, laid out from the end of the driveway, and stretched a 1 ¾" hose line to division 2. Q-11 arrived on scene and began laddering the roof. The next arriving engine tanker supplied RE153. Other units arrived on scene and reported to command for instructions. The RIT assignment was placed in service quickly once the fire was reported to be out. Units cleared and returned to service when they were ready.
