MVA with Entrapment on Rt.194 & Stauffer Rd.

At 22:30 hrs. Co.24 & Co.11 were dispatched to Rt.194 & Stauffer Rd. for a vehicle accident with entrapment. C24 arrived on scene with two vehicles involved in a T-bone collision with patients still in their vehicles and established Rt.194 command. After further investigation C24 advised Frederick ECC to dispatch a second and third BLS units and also advised RS24 when they arrived on scene that they were going to have to remove the doors on the silver vehicle. A247 arrived on scene and began patient care on the patient in silver vehicle. Rs24 arrived on scene and began to extricate the patient out of the vehicle. E111 arrived on scene and began to control leaking fluids and began patient care to patients in the other vehicle. Medic 2 arrived on scene and assisted A247 with patient care. A248 and A249 arrived on scene and began patient on 2 patients in the second vehicle. C24 advised Frederick ECC that he needed a 2 ALS for chest pains and also Trooper 3 for mechanism of injury. One patient was flown to Shock Trauma and another patient transport to FMH. At 23:15 hrs. Command was terminated and units went in service as ready.
