MVA with Entrapment on Rt.26

At 20:38hrs. Co.24 & Co.11 were dispatched to Rt.26 and Latham Dr. for a vehicle accident with entrapment. C24 arrived on scene and advised that he had one car into the guardrail with driver trapped and established Rt.26 command. A247 arrived on scene to begin patient care. RS24 arrived on scene and went to work stabilizing the vehicle and using the side wench pulling the guardrail away and then cutting and removing the guardrail. Once the guardrail was removed, the rescue crew went to work removing the driver side door. The patient was extricated in ten minutes and transferred to A247. E111 arrived on scene to assist with the squad crew and pulled 1” front bumper line for precaution. The driver was then transported to Meritus Hospital. Command was terminated and all units went in service as ready.
