The primary function of the WVRC is to provide emergency medical and rescue services to the Town of Walkersville and the surrounding communities.
WVRC24 currently runs three basic life support ambulances and one heavy rescue squad.
Not interested in running calls? Help is also needed on the administrative side.
Bingo and other fund raisers are always in need of volunteers to assist with raising money to support our operations side.

Free training is provided through the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute.
Male and Female bunkrooms for those who decide to stay over night.
Each bunkroom consists of four beds with nightstands, a shower area, locker area and a bathroom.
There is also a lounge with TV, five recliners, and gas fireplace.
