Ever thought about helping your neighbor in their time of need?  The WVRC needs volunteers just like you.  Whether your interested in particiapting in emergency response, fundraising activies or serving in an adminsitarative function we have a place for you to help serve your community.

We are delighted that you are interested in becoming a member of the Walkersville Volunteer Rescue Company, Inc. (WVRC).  The WVRC was established in 1977 by a forward-thinking group of members of the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company, and committed members of the Walkersville community, who recognized the impending growth of our community and the need for an organization that was dedicated to life, safety and rescue. We look forward to your becoming a part of this dedicated effort to support your family, neighbors and community.

 *  16 Years of Age

How to Apply

1.  Download and complete a membership application (linked at the bottom of the page)

2.  Drop the Completed application off at the Walkersville Vol. Rescue Co. Station.  

3.  Once the application is received a representative from our membership committee will contact you to walk you through the process which includes an interview and background check.
